Watercolors and Old Dictionary Pages
I love being able to find unique ways to recycle items in art. I found this amazing idea at artisan des art‘s blog. We used old dictionary pages as our canvas which soaked up the watercolors beautifully (although we are still working on the right water to paint ratio). Step by step instructions can be found at the link above so here are some pictures of our work in progress and the final results:
A colleague walked in while we were just getting started and asked if we were doing black out poems. We weren’t, but we definitely will be now! Thanks for the great idea Mrs. Johnstone
Do you have any other ideas of ways we can use these old dictionary pages?

What a great idea, Ms. DeVries!! Each owl is so unique and special. If you hang up the pages on a window, does the sun shine through like stain glass?

That’s a great idea rescaling paper for art, plus I love the owls, the watercolors make them look awesome.

Hi. I’m Liana from Rouse Hill.
I think your owls look really pretty and colourful. It is also a great way to recycle.
